The day finally arrived!

After one full year of providing the initial Part One Donut Business Consultation to help Rodney prepare, plan, and get Backwoods Donuts ready for launch, it was finally time for the hands-on 10-day donut training.

I flew into Sandpoint, Idaho, ready to bring the vision to life. Rodney started with zero donut-making experience, but through focused, step-by-step training, he quickly began transforming from donut beginner to donut hero.

We began with the fundamentals, including basic donut glazes, then moved into specialty glazes and icings, gradually progressing into more advanced donut production techniques. Each step was designed to build skill, confidence, and excitement, while showing that with the right guidance, proper systems, advanced donut training, and professional consultation, new skills can absolutely be learned and mastered.

It was exciting to see Backwoods Donuts move from planning and preparation into real production, and even more exciting to watch Rodney gain the confidence needed to take the local donut market by storm.
