Lexington Donuts was born from Juli’s childhood memories of visiting a small local donut shop when she was just a little girl. Those early memories of buying donuts, enjoying the experience, and feeling the joy that a neighborhood donut shop can bring eventually turned into a dream of owning her own donut business.
That dream became even more meaningful when the original little donut shop closed after the owner retired. The building needed a tremendous amount of work, but Juli saw more than an old building. She saw an opportunity to bring her childhood memories back to life for the community of Lexington, Michigan.
Juli purchased the property and developed a brand new building specifically designed and constructed for a donut shop business. Her vision was not just to open a donut shop, but to bring back the joy, warmth, and community spirit she remembered from her childhood.
I first met Juli in Tennessee while I was helping open Kali’s Donuts & More. She wanted to taste real donuts, experience the process, and gain the confidence that she could bring her own dream to life. With the support of her partner, Tugba, Juli now successfully operates Lexington Donuts.
